Inside the 1860s Loyalist manor house at The Eddie Hotel & Farm in Prince Edward County, the main living room strikes a playful chord between historic elegance and layered, modern style. Awash in natural light, the space features original architectural details—from intricate tin ceilings to carved wood moldings—offset by a lush velvet sofa, contemporary art and a punchy, striped rug. A vintage marble fireplace anchors the room, while an orb-like pouf, acrylic side tables and botanical-print drapery infuse the space with texture and whimsy. Designed by hotel owners Michael von Teichman and Alex Portman, the room is a reflection of their warm, idiosyncratic hospitality.
