Richard D. James' fourth, autobiographical' album as Aphex Twin is regarded as his 'drill n' bass' showpiece. Originally released in 1996, 'Richard D. James' continues the lineage of his digital era (beginning from the previous Aphex Twin album, '...I Care Because You Do'), where familiar, playful melody locks into aggressive, hyperspeed breakbeats and quasi-jungle rhythms.

DEFTONES - WHITE PONY
Hard rockers Deftones take their heavy post-grunge ways to another level on their third album White Pony. It is honest, stripped, and exposed with it's flowing guitar riffs and haunting orchestral back drops. There aren't any lackluster similarities to Limp Bizkit and Korn. Deftones have forged ahead, unafraid to delve into the influences of The Smiths and The Cure.

LONNIE LISTON SMITH - ASTRAL TRAVELLING
Lonnie Liston Smith made his name as a sideman. He had played piano for Pharoah Sanders, Gato Barbieri and then Miles Davis. His elevation to Miles band led to him becoming very in-demand and he was offered the opportunity to record an LP for Flying Dutchman as leader. Astral Traveling was the result, the first showing of Lonnie's cosmic jazz philosophy, which mixed spiritual jazz with a touch of funk. Over a dense backing rhythm he and saxophonist George Barron improvise beautifully. The LP marks the start of Lonnie's successful career as a leader in some style.

VARIOUS - STUDIO ONE SPACE-AGE DUB SPECIAL
Most of these tracks are taken from Studio One’s superb long out-of-print series of dub albums released between 1974 and 1980, such as ‘Zodiac Sounds’, ‘Ital Sounds and System’, ‘Roots Dub’, ‘Dub Store Special’, ‘Juks Incorporation’ and others. Many of these classic dub albums were originally released only in Jamaica in short- run pressings with special silk-screen printed sleeves, all with striking minimal designs, and which now fetch many, many hundreds of pounds.

‘Penny for your thoughts’. An in-store installation with G.H. Bass where we ask the people for a ‘Penny for your thoughts’. The legend of the Penny Loafer is based on the folkloric tale of how teens would keep a penny in their loafers so they could pay for a ride home. In this collaborative event between Goodhood and G.H. Bass we asked the people to write down whatever comes to mind in exchange for a penny. Take a look at what we got up to.
