🪖 DAISUKE OBANA RECOMMENDS: Arms Clothing Store
Why: "This secondhand clothing store was started in Yutenji by Saisu, a former employee of the famous secondhand clothing store 'VOICE.' He is famous in the industry for his wide range of lineups and his unique selection of military items. The shop is open until late at night, making it a last stop for stylists, and also a place where competitors can stop by on their way home. Even if you stop by drunk on your way home from a night of drinking, you will be warmly welcomed (laughs)."

👨🍳 CHEF NOBU RECOMMENDS: Sarashina Horii
Why: Soba may not be your first choice for noodles in Tokyo, but Chef Nobu seems to place it in higher regard over ramen or udon. That being said, Sarashina Horii has been serving the buckwheat variety for over two centuries. Its influence has expanded as well all the way to New York, where it holds its second location.

👖 VNTG: Bay Apt.
Why: This vintage store is a bit aways, nestled far from Tokyo central in Koto City. But its distance and separation from the touristy streets means a richer, more meaningful shopping experience. Almost "hidden in plain sight," Bay Apt's interior layout and aesthetic is one to behold while you peruse its curated racks of classic Japanese, American and European offerings.

🍕 PIZZA: Seirinkan
Why: A true staple of Neapolitan pizza in Tokyo, Seirinkan adheres to tradition only offering two varieties in line with classic flavors. The Margherita is a must-try, coming out of the storied oven in just 60 seconds but cooked to perfection. A crisp yet chewy crust serves as a base for ripe tomatoes, basil, unctuous olive oil for an experience that is simply sublime.
