Chilly Start
Merino wool is our go-to base layer for winter running. On its own, it’s warm enough on days when the temperatures are above freezing. Plus, it wicks moisture, dries in a snap, and resists odors, so you can wear the same top multiple times a week before a wash.

Cold & Dry
Once it gets close to or below freezing, we add a mid-layer to keep our core warm. A heavyweight Merino, like our Downeaster, is designed for thermo-regulation and looks good at the coffee shop after, too.

Wet & Windy
When it’s snowy or extra cold, we’ll pull on some protective outerwear. Water-repelling and wind-resistant, this is the final barrier between you and winter’s worst. Plus, big pockets mean we can stash essentials like gloves and our phone.
