🫣 The YEEZY Website Has Been Shut Down
TLDR:
YEEZY.com has been taken offline follwing Ye‘s recent antisemitic tirade on Twitter and selling of a swastika-emblazoned T-shirt on the YEEZY webstore.
Why
It Matters: As of Tuesday morning, the site’s landing page has been replaced by a single screen that simply reads “This store is unavailable.” On Sunday, YEEZY ran a 30-second commercial in select markets during the Super Bowl, encouraging viewers to patronize his site while sitting in a dentist’s chair. “I spent, like, all the money for the commercial on these new teeth,” he says in the commercial. “So, once again, I had to shoot it on the iPhone.” Previously, the YEEZY webstore had offered a variety of goods from T-shirts to sweatpants and shoes, all priced at $20 USD Shortly after the ad aired, however, that selection of goods was pulled from the site and replaced by a single white T-shirt with a black swastika named the “HH” (likely shorthand for “Heil Hitler,” a Nazi Party rallying cry) tee. Fox, the Super Bowl’s broadcast partner, has yet to comment on the content of the advertisement.

🐾 Racing Through Time and Trends With the PUMA Speedcat
TLDR:
An ode to racing culture that took over couture runways, the PUMA
Speedcat shook up the sneaker scene 25 years ago and hasn’t slowed down
since. Where peak performance and panache met is where the
speed-inspired shoes came to life, creating an iconic sneaker that
intertwines sport and style.
Why
It Matters: Marking a milestone anniversary, this year the
aerodynamic silhouette appears in a soft suede finish allowing the new
generation of fashion gurus to put their own spin on it. As they craft
and coordinate their looks with the classic colorways of the low-profile
sneakers, including black and red, they, in turn, set the stage for
PUMA’s perpetual takeover. Throughout the Speedcat’s 25-year history,
trends have come, gone and come back, yet the cult-loved shoe maintains
its momentum in light of it all. With each era – from PUMA’s first foray
