Why It Matters: MAD Architects' latest project, 'One River North', stands as a testament to innovative architectural design, blending urban living with natural elements. The 16-story mixed-use building features a striking 'cracked-open' facade, inspired by Colorado's foothills and canyons, which not only serves as a visual landmark but also incorporates landscaped terraces and water features to evoke a natural canyon environment.
