🫂 Pharrell and NIGO Prove That Working a Bromance Is a Winning

creative partnership dates back decades and this collection proposes a
symbiosis between an archivist and a point of reference. NIGO brings his
vast archives of 20th century workwear to inform the collection which is

👀 Ye Teases New YZY SL-01 Slippers Colorways
TLDR:
Shortly after debuting the silhouette, Ye took to Instagram to
tease two new colorways of the futuristic SL-01 slipper. Continuing to build on his minimalist offerings with an ultra-affordable price point, the newest slippers have been revealed to show off a sleek and futuristic design.
Why
It Matters: The image showcases the original Black iteration
from mid-January (which is available now) alongside soft gray and light
taupe options. Ye’s SL-01 model is crafted with lightweight materials
and creates a snug fit around the foot, while the textured rigged
outsole offers extra grip for stability with daily use. Just like its
debut counterpart, both colorways are assumed to be monochromatic in
style. Ye’s tongue in cheek caption also delivered a little humor,
writing, “[T]he SL-01 now has a nick name[.] The Yeezy Slides,”
referencing the popular silhouette he created during his memorable
partnership with adidas.

🦾 First Look at fragment design’s ‘Gundam’ Collab
TLDR:
Earlier today, Hiroshi Fujiwara posted photos of a grayscale
RX-78 Gunpla model on his Instagram, offering the first look at fragment
design’s upcoming collaboration with Gundam.
Why
It Matters: Fujiwara first teased fragment design’s
collaboration with Gundam in an unexpected Instagram post in December
2024. The announcement featured a new graphic visual, where fragment’s
iconic lighting motifs join Gundam’s hallmarked “G” logo. As shown on
the model’s left shoulder, the product code for this special variant is
RX78FRGMT. Its left chest area also features fragment’s lightning bolt
motifs to signify its exclusive status. Aside from the RX-78 Gunpla, the
collaboration is said to include an array of collaborative items such as
apparel and accessories. It’s likely that the Gunpla will be available at the upcoming “GUNDAM NEXT FUTURE -FINAL-” events in Tokyo and Osaka, which will take place in February and April respectively.

🔎 Closer Look at the AURALEE x New Balance CT500 FW25 Collaboration

Japanese designer Ryota Iwai and his brand AURALEE continues to
build on its New Balance partnership with another collaboration. Earlier
last summer, the brand unveiled the 475 in two new colorways during its
Paris Fashion Week SS25 runway show. This time around for the
Fall/Winter 2025 season, AURALEE has debuted a new New Balance T500
collaboration.
Why
It Matters: The tennis shoe silhouette is an everyday sneaker
that redefines casual athletic footwear. While it was originally made
for the courts in 1982, the shoe has been reintroduced in as the go-to
early ’80s-inspired tennis shoe for current times. The shoew as
previously made popular with several Aimé Leon Dore and now, it receives
another resurgence as AURALEE’s silhouette of choice for FW25.
Constructed out of premium materials, the shoe embodies simplicity and
elegance that is fit for everyday wear. This time around AURALEE and New
Balance have dropped two special colorways for the FW25 season.
