We live in a world of speed and optimization. Quick fixes claim the prize over slow burns. But look to the plant world, and you’ll find a different story.
Plants take their time to come into being. Over centuries, our ancestors have drawn from their wisdom to care for their bodies. If we rewind back 100 years, botanical skin care was all anyone had.
Modern beauty is the newcomer. Not the authority.
Our products draw on ancient plant wisdom, not because it's trendy, but because it works. And philosophically, because plants connect us to something deeper: the Earth itself.
It’s Earth Month, after all. When we turn to herbs for grounding, sensory nourishment, and yes, skin care, we’re doing more than tending to our skin. We’re touching something fundamental within us every single day: our connection to the planet.
Why do we pretend that the Earth is separate from us? That we can make a distinction between politics, the environment, people, places, creatures?
If there is anything that these things share, it’s that they are (we are) resting upon and supported by Earth.
It is hard to celebrate Earth month when the globe is at war and people in power seem determined to destroy our homes and communities. Like the plants that have survived centuries of storms, droughts, and shifting climates, the quiet forces that sustain life, including care, love, and our relationship to the Earth, have a way of prevailing.
And here are, still determined to love one another and the Earth we share.
Our wish this month is to love the Earth the way we strive to love ourselves.
